Description
This “shrub” is more of a creeping evergreen groundcover. It will barely grow to a 1′ tall but can easily cover 10-15′ or more over time. Growth is best (and relatively slow) in well drained soils in full sun. It can grow in incredibly hot, nutrient poor soils but will not tolerate poorly drained clay soils. As it spreads, it provides year round cover for animals and the juniper berries are a food source for many.
