Description
The former majestic giant of the eastern US, the Chestnut blight fungus as eliminated all but isolated populations. Resprouts never attain mature sizes. Chracteristics are simliar to our oaks. Nuts are highly edible and prefered by widlife and human alike. The nuts are encased in a spiny husk capable of piercing the thickest pair of gloves. Plant multiple trees in relatively close proximity to maximize nut production.
